Island's favourite fishmonger

The Challenge

Ballen Fisk has been a cornerstone of Ballen Harbour on Samsø since 1985. Run by Mogens "Fishermogens" Hede Vollbrecht, the shop offers fresh-caught fish from the Kattegat, homemade smoked specialities, and the island's best fish cakes — but had no digital presence to match its 40-year reputation. Summer visitors and returning customers had no way to browse the selection before arriving on the island.

Our Solution

We built a clean, fast website with a full product catalogue (172 items across categories like fresh fish, smoked goods, ready meals, shellfish, and salads), a business history timeline celebrating four decades of craft, opening hours, location, and a direct link to their Facebook community. The design reflects the warmth and authenticity of the harbour shop itself.
